Gravel Rug

The Gravel Rug conveys a sense of nature and celebrates natural materials. It combines undyed wool fibers with an unexpected weaving technique that adds depth and complexity to the design. With nature and its endless possibilities in mind, the Gravel Rug, designed by Nina Bruun, represents the values that make a house a home: warm, inviting and comfortable. Carefully crafted from natural wool fibers, the soft loops - which alternate in size - evoke the feeling of walking on a gravel beach up close, but from a distance the surface of the rug appears to ripple like a field of grain swaying in the wind. The tactile surface is achieved using a technique in which tonal wool yarns of different sizes are looped into tufts.
