The family business Tecta is now managed by Christian Drescher in the fourth generation. Tecta's task and responsibility is to preserve and review the best ideas and designs of modernism as they were developed at the Bauhaus in Weimar or Dessau. The company finds new approaches through innovative materials and techniques, for example. Trends are interchangeable, and the cycles for them are getting shorter and shorter. Constant product changes are unecological and uneconomical. Tecta's task is to extend the life cycle of good models, both socially and ecologically. Every piece of furniture from Tecta stands for a central idea: it is never too early or too late for timeless models - they have an everlasting character.
