The mobile Lounge Chair Atelier gives you an insight into the final stage of production: experience the handcrafted perfection of the Vitra classic. Choose your preferred version of the Lounge Chair and Ottoman from various leathers, veneer woods and frames and follow the production process directly on site.

While the armchair is being assembled before your eyes, you can see the quality craftsmanship of the product for yourself. And if you wish, your armchair can be provided with an individual plaque identifying its place of manufacture.

Starting with the history of the creation of this icon of modern furniture design, the Lounge Chair Atelier opens up various perspectives: from the use of materials and individual production steps to the longevity and sustainability of this design, which has lost none of its relevance to this day.

The designers Charles and Ray Eames created the Lounge Chair in the 1950s with the aim of creating an elegant armchair with ultimate comfort. Since then, it has been manufactured at Vitra using almost the same process and has become one of the most important classics of 20th century furniture design.
