Welcome to our showroom at Klosterstern. The floor-to-ceiling glass panes on the first floor are reminiscent of Bauhaus architecture, which is still the basis of our design philosophy today. The Bel-Etage is designed in the style of an old apartment building, typical of the upper middle-class neighborhoods around Hamburg's Outer Alster lake at the turn of the last century. Large, bright, prestigious rooms alternate with smaller rooms that are more of a retreat. A unique combination to present our brands “in the midst of life”.
Founded in 1959, Beckmann presented mid-century classics from Egon Eiermann, Marcel Breuer and Arne Jacobsen to Charles and Ray Eames. In 2014, Beckmann became DER NEUE BECKMANN - and the portfolio was significantly expanded: international classics perfectly combined with Italian design, Scandinavian lightness and innovative “local heroes”. Contrasts that complement each other and create an extraordinary and harmonious whole. Modern, clear and straightforward, manufactured in unique quality and by masters of their trade.
