Swedese is a classic Swedish furniture manufacturer with strong roots in both the public and private sectors. Swedese's ideals are the same today as they have been for the past seventy years. These are to create beautiful furniture for the future, built on the foundations of Scandinavian modern traditions, designed by forward-thinking designers who share the timeless ideals of architecture. Swedese was founded in 1945 by two brothers, Yngve and Jerker Ekström and Bertil Sjöqvist, with Yngve running the company until his death. The current owners of Swedese are Anna Johansson and Julio Patino. The head office is in Vaggeryd in Småland, Sweden, where one of the factories is located. The second factory is located in Äng, a small village outside Nässjö, Sweden.
