THE MAKING OF A WISHBONE-CHAIR | Event

Save the Date | 25.05.2024 | 12 - 16 o'clock

Experience how a Danish master craftsman from Carl Hansen weaves a Wishbone Chair in our showroom. Around 120 meters of paper yarn are used, an impressive material that makes the chair both strong and durable.

With its unique shape, the iconic CH24 Wishbone Chair by Hans J. Wegner occupies a special place in the world of modern design. When designing it, Wegner decided to combine the backrest and armrest in a single piece. To give the steam-bent wood stability and ensure comfortable support, Wegner developed the characteristic Y-shaped backrest after which the Wishbone Chair is named.

The production of each Wishbone Chair involves more than 100 steps, most of which are carried out by hand.

The Wishbone Chair offers comfort and stability - and with its elegant, slender shape is the essence of clear Danish design, so to speak. Pure aesthetics - in our opinion.

The two finished chairs will be raffled off among all attendees.

We look forward to your visit!
