THOMAS GEYER + SEBASTIAN HERZAU | Vernissage

Beckmann x Affenfaust Gallery Vol. II

BETWEEN DREAM AND REALITY

Sebastian Herzau is a German artist whose paintings bridge the gap between classical tradition and contemporary reflection. His portraits and still lifes impress with their precision, in which supposed details such as adhesive tape are painted deceptively realistically. Through deliberate alienation and overpainting, Herzau creates spaces between reality and abstraction that challenge our viewing habits in an exciting way.

Next to him is Thomas Geyer, who paints scenarios that invite us to pause for a moment - somewhere between city and nature, day and night. He does not paint real places, he captures moods. Those quiet moments when the light goes out and our eyes slowly adjust to the darkness.

Between city and countryside, lake and forest, he creates surreal stages that seem like places of refuge. Light and blur interweave to create a play between reality and dream, glaring color accents break through the soft twilight, traces of human presence flash up. A dream?

At Der neue Beckmann am Klosterstern, dreams become living realities. With a careful selection of international design, the elegant lightness of Scandinavian furniture and the innovative creations of local design greats, we create harmonious living spaces that reflect the individuality of our customers.

Now our space itself becomes the stage for a special encounter: the fascinating works of Sebastian Herzau and Thomas Geyer enter into an inspiring dialog with our interior. Let yourself be enchanted by dream and reality - we look forward to your visit!
